What we are for
NOFUF is an independent Australian news and investigative masthead dedicated to delivering free, evidence-based facts. We report on crime, politics and business by sourcing information directly from government records, enforcement agencies, official court documents, and interviews with the people closest to the events. Our promise to you is simple: what you read is exactly what the evidence and the records state.

How we work
Fact, not opinion
A piece is published when the documents support it, and not before. We do not run takes, hot or cold. Where something is contested we set out both accounts and say which document each rests on. Where we do not know, we say we do not know.
Misconduct, surfaced
Most of what we publish is about conduct somebody would rather stayed buried: company collapses, money that moved, regulators that looked away, people harmed by all three. Bringing it to the surface is the point of the masthead.
Direct to source
Every claim links to the document it rests on, so you can read the record yourself rather than take our word for it. If a document is missing, send it to us.
How we are paid
We sell advertising. We never sell articles.
- NOFUF sells advertising and sponsorship. That is how it is funded, and it is why the site is free to read.
- No article is ever paid for. Nobody buys a story in, and nobody buys one out.
- Advertisers do not see stories before publication, are not told what is coming, and have no say in what runs.
- Advertising is labelled as advertising, every time, wherever it appears.
- Where the masthead or its editor has an interest in a story, that interest is disclosed on the article itself.
Masthead rules
- Every claim links to a document.
- Every subject gets a right of reply before publication, and the request and any response are printed.
Editorial standards
- Every claim is sourced to a document.
- Right of reply is sought before publication.
- Corrections are published at the top of the piece, dated.
- Disclosures of interest are stated on the article.
- Photographs are published unaltered apart from resizing and cropping. No generative or AI editing. Every photograph carries a caption and a credit.
